Job Description

Troubleshoot and resolve incidents (Hardware and Software) related to desktop and associated peripherals

End users as well as server support experience (Win XP Pro, W2K3 server and Exchange 2003, printers and scanner)

Structuring cable experience as he will be involved in setting up the new office

Hardware Experince - Preferably HP servers with IBM desktops and laptops

Should know how to configure VPN s/w

Should extremely well in MS Outlook support

Good exposure is required in MS Application (Word, Excel, Power point etc.) related queries

Should have good knowledge on MS XP and 2000 client OS.

Good comm. Skills and will handle the calls of Mgt level users.

Handling homegrown application and customer internal applications

Sound knowledge on handling h/w related issues

Computer imaging as he needs to image the new desktops and laptops.

Anti-virus – McAfee / Norton / Symantec

Desktop L1 - Lotus Notes Client Knowledge

Troubleshoot Network connectivity (LAN) issues

Installation of desktop and hardware like CD-ROM, soundcards, etc

Operating Systems (OS) installation / re-installation, upgrades and patches for desktops

Software installations such as MS-Office, Acrobat Reader, mail client etc.

Installation of anti-virus on desktops and remove Virus

Configuration of Print devices (network and local) on desktops

Desktop Configuration - Network, mail client, internet etc

Familiarity with Net Meeting/ VNC etc for providing remote support to customers
